Introduction
Lido is an AI tool that turns PDFs, invoices and receipts into clean spreadsheets. It's a great product in a crowded space but when buyers asked AI assistants like ChatGPT for a recommendation 2 months ago, Lido simply wasn't in the conversation. Across the buyer questions we track, ChatGPT mentioned Lido **0% of the time**. Well-known names like ABBYY, Nanonets, and Rossum were getting recommended instead.

What we did
CrowdReply helped Lido show up in the real conversations its buyers were already having on Reddit with people asking “how do I get this data out of a PDF?” in communities focused on spreadsheets, accounting, and automation.
The approach is to be genuinely helpful and on-topic in each thread (never spammy), so that both buyers and the AI assistants that read these communities start to recognize Lido as a real answer.
The questions Lido is winning on
These are the high-intent, ready-to-buy questions where ChatGPT now recommends Lido — all up from zero:

Now recommended alongside the category leaders
In those same ChatGPT answers, Lido went from absent to appearing next to the biggest names in the category and is typically listed near the top positions in those AI answers:
ABBYY
Nanonets
Rossum
Hyperscience
UiPath
Parseur
Tabula
AI describes Lido positively
Every mention of Lido in the period was positive (100%) and on average Lido was listed around 2nd position when ChatGPT named multiple options not buried at the bottom.

Lido owns the #1 cited source: its own content
When ChatGPT backs up these answers with sources, Lido's own website is the most-cited source of all, ahead of every competitor and review site. The specific pages doing the work are Lido's own “best tools” guides:
Biggest low-hanging fruit: Owning your citations is the part you fully control. These results come from helpful, well-written guides on Lido's own website no permission, outreach, or third party required.
Creating and refreshing this kind of content (clear “best tool” guides and how-tos that answer real buyer questions) is the fastest, most reliable way to get cited by AI, because the source is internal.
Top cited sources overall
Across all the answers, here are the sources ChatGPT cited most with Lido's own site at #1 and Reddit at #2:

Top Subreddits
Lido's traction came from being helpful in the communities where its buyers actually spend time with people working in spreadsheets, accounting, and automation. CrowdReply helped Lido join these conversations naturally and on-topic, contributing useful answers. The most active communities included:
Spreadsheet / Excel communities
Accounting & bookkeeping communities
Automation & workflow communities
SaaS and small-business communities
AI & local-LLM communities

Supporting momentum: SEO and AI grow together
During the same window, Lido's traditional Google search traffic also climbed from around 2,000 visits/month over winter to a peak of ~7,500 in May, with 819 ranking keywords (242 of them in the top 3 spots).
This is the flywheel in action: the same helpful content and conversations that win Google rankings also feed the sources AI assistants read so being visible in search and being recommended by AI reinforce each other.

Recommendations: how to win even more
Actionable next steps we'd prioritise to push Lido's AI visibility further:
Double down on owning citations (highest ROI). Lido's own “best tools” guides are already the #1 cited source. Refresh them regularly and add new ones targeting more buyer questions since this is fully in Lido's control and the fastest path to more mentions.
Win “top document processing solutions in 2026.” Lido is still at 0% on this broader question. A dedicated guide plus on-topic community answers should start moving it, like the other two questions did.
Expand beyond ChatGPT. Today's wins are concentrated in ChatGPT. Applying the same playbook for Gemini, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot would multiply Lido's reach across the assistants buyers use.
Keep engaging where it's working. The spreadsheet, accounting, and automation Reddit communities are clearly receptive. Maintain a steady, helpful presence and expand into closely related communities.
Target head-to-head comparison questions. Buyers asking “Lido vs ABBYY / Nanonets / Rossum” are close to a decision. Helpful comparison content and community answers here capture demand at the highest-intent moment.
Visibility figures compare the 60 days ending June 18, 2026 against the prior 60 days, based on ChatGPT answers to Lido's tracked buyer questions.
